Final Fantasy Tactics items on Mogstation... THREE whole sets?

C'mon... Why we are getting 3 full sets, dyeable and in separate pieces in the online store instead of an ingame collab?

One of them, at least?

Those sets are really nice, they do fill in that traditional fantasy silhouette people want (as opposed to modern glams) but as cash shop items? Really a let down.

It's really just a addition to what we got as a Alliance Raid in Stormblood - And those sets definitely aren't for everyone, SE knows that. I don't even know someone who did play FF Tactics back then.

We get the Monster Hunter Wilds Collab loot for free, however, since it's far more popular and widely known.

In order for it to be an in game collab, the majority would have to know about it and care for it. And a lot of people don't. Thus, cash shop for the hardcore fans.
They could spend all the time in the world making this an in game collab and half the people wouldn't bother because it's just not that appealing.

I thought one of the reasons for a collab was to make something known for the playerbase, as some sort of publicity.

I personally had no idea what Monster Hunter was before the collab here, and only got to experience it because I got to know it in FFXIV.

I understand that idea and the logic. But I feel like that's rarely ever the case. MH is extremely popular, as is NieR. People won't do something that doesn't interest them. If they were to make this an in game collab with these same rewards, many won't do them aside for maybe the music rolls. The gear is a very specific type of vibe, and definitely not for everyone. If there was some sort of mount reward, then I think more people would definitely go for it, but glam is a very slippery slope for a collab.

It's very normal, and I don't know what that person is talking about. XIII, XV, and XVI are at worst hated and at best financial failures, but all of them had small collab events(and XVI is/was supposed to get a second at some point) and glamour among other things. XI had two events with a glamour set, other cosmetics, and then extra cosmetics in Eureka and now the alliance raids. With Ivalice and both of its major eras being part of the setting, there's no good reason(from our standpoint, unless you own SE stock) for these to be cash shop exclusives.

I am disappointed that these didn't get added to the Ivalice Raid we already have in-game. Would've been nice to have an incentive to run older content.
