Hard agree on "simply making them the origin point for the animation and effects. This will give the illusion of being a pet-based job"

It's, like, I get how cool the concept of them being independent entities is, but a little flair and an objectively minor mechanic that nobody notices nor appreciates is far from worth the drawbacks that come with it
