Cross Class Fantasies

Just for fun… what are some of your cross class ideas? I know it would probably never happen outside of something like phantom jobs, but if you could combine any two classes, what would they be?

SMN/AST… got a little taste of this running SMN with the OC Oracle job. I really loved the Predict skill! SMN’s gems could be placed on an AST weapon instead of the cards. Full SMN kit but add some starry animation actions or effects to the summons, replace the whole Energy Drain/Necrotize/Painflare set with Malefic/Gravity plus Earthly Star, Divination (on the off-minute from Searing Light), Micro and Macrocosmos, and have Essential Dignity replace Physick. lol And just for fun, give it Rescue. Alternate LB3: Supernova - combine Teraflare with a starry constellation effect for big damage plus raidwide heal.

SMN/DNC… got this in my head after playing Clair Obscur and using Lune as my main caster. lol Her weapons reminded me of DNC chakrams. Place SMN’s gem on chakrams. Mostly SMN kit but replace the “filler” Ruins/Energy Drain/Necro/Painflare with simplified DNC actions from their PvP kit, especially Starfall Dance! Alternate LB3: Crystal Dance - similar to current DNC LB3, only it’s crystals instead of lotus flowers that explode into feathers; Bahamut drops the crystals across the “runway,” they explode for damage, and then turn into Phoenix feathers for raidwide heal.

I miss when Paladin could cross class Resurrection. They got Clemency to replace missing cure.

Just no, we had such a system in the past and it was cheeks. Imagine having to level several different classes just to access a single job.

Besides the dev team has shown themselves to be creatively bankrupt with class design, no I don't have faith 8.0 will fix anything, do you really want them spending more dev time on convoluted/flashy cosmetics when we don't even get two dungeons per patch anymore.

Just because something was implemented bad doesn't mean it was a bad idea. As for the creatively bankrupt. It would be hard to think of but I don't have fail they can pull it off now. At least to the point where people can wait and see it improve
