I don't think it is fair to call anyone who doesn't like to do a certain aspect of the game Lazy, more like... picky?

"I want to kill things! I don't want to have to play the stock market on the current price of dodo skins! I don't want to have to spend my time with an axe and mine for fish! I don't want to take a knee and knit sweaters for my friends so they can buy it for gils!"

Should this person be punished in a system where he cannot succeed, or should we help people like this get a little bit closer to those who has to buy from us who craft/gather/market.

Plus I can imagine with the soon to be addition of casinos, chocobo racing(Which I hope doesn't fail like it did in FFXI), and other mini-games, I'm sure this will all balance out with a little more money in my pocket.

I for one hate all of the above and one thing I loved in most mmos and in offline FF games is the fact that money dropped from monsters, the higher the mob level the higher amount of money it would drop.

I, for one, would gladly spend hours a day going out into the fields and mass murdering mobs for their gil without ever needing to set foot on a city to sell mats or whatever else.

In short, please add gil drops from all mobs that rises in quantity according to their level.
What? Why? It's already PAINFULLY easy to make money. There is people with capped gil this is a horrible idea for people who are bad and obviously can't operate and NPC menu to sell items.

You want to earn gils by killing mobs ?
    Do battle leves.
They ask you to kill mobs (Check) and reward you will Gils (Check)

And the reward increase with mob level (Triple check)

Same reason as me; to buy beer and ice cream and get wasted.

No point being a Dodo if you can't get wasted once in a while

I think of gil as a sort of magical energy that you could gather from monsters, that would be used as a currency because it could then be used for many things, such as used to craft objects, make plants grow faster, etc. That would be why all monsters seemed to drop gil when you killed them.

except in this game, said energy already comes in the form of crystal shards and clusters and the like, so gil winds up being an actual currency here instead. That's why only humanoids drop it, and maybe some NMs that happened to snack on said humanoids and maybe there's some stuck in their belly. (at least, FFXI had NMs that dropped gil.)

...and also because gil from every monster would cause massive inflation in an MMORPG.

The monsters HAVE to drop money, or else this is not a real Final Fantasy.
