Doesn't quite ring a bell, is it from Forked Tower? I haven't been in there yet.

It's one of the Critical Encounter bosses in South Horn, same body shape as Alte, pretty sure uses a lot of the same animation rigging, the CE for this guy happens right by the entrance of the caves.

OHHH, that guy! omg, I didn't realize he was a far-off cousing of Alte's. lol
I like him, but he looks spiky to the touch! Can we possibly get a cushion to sit on? xD

Right!? We really need more dragons. My dream is a Vishap/Fafnir-like dragon for 8 players. Even if we're all precariously trying to hold onto its scales, it's alright for me lol

- Job-themed mounts. Good material for job achievements, like Deep Dungeon solo runs. Ideas:
SCH would get the fairy carrying them, like Spectral Statice but with Eos instead;
SMN would ride Garuda;
PCT is a flying version of Smudge;
AST you levitate with celestial bodies around you, similar to the Neutral Sect animation;
NIN rides the Hellfrog medium;
RPR rides on the voidsent's shoulder;
MCH rides a turret (like how we hold the Nier pods)
BLM rides one of their staves like a witch's broom
WHM pops a pair of aetherial wings, similar to the Temperance animation
etc... (ran out of ideas lol)

That airship sailed a decade ago I'm afraid - it's clear SE has long abandoned their original idea of 'class mounts' with the only one ever implemented in the form of CNJ's Unicorn, where that was just used as a carrott to attract new players to start the game as CNJ (as in, a healer) when the game was still new and there wasn't a lot of healers around for duties (this is why you specifically have to be only CNJ and not have your WHM Soul Crystal equipped in order to unlock the quest and complete it).

Of course that is long since irrelevant, but it still remains as it was at ARR's launch. Either way the other planned 'class mounts' were never implemented, and I'm pretty certain SE has no intention of doing any others now (there is the tank Job achievement mounts though so that is kind of similar in a way).

As for what mounts I'd like to see in the game, I'd love to see the Garlean Novus D car added (yes, we already have cars in the form of the FFXV Regalia and that weird six wheeler from the DT raids, but like dragon mounts, you can never have 'too' many ). Maybe have it as a special prototype that was amphibious and could fly that was never put into mass production before the Empire's collapse and the capital's destruction.

You can get Alte Roite completely solo with nearly any job nowadays. Very good long noodle boi.
The pandaemonium one turns into a bird when you start flying either way, so he's not really a noodle boi

i wish we could get a dragon that looks like Seiryu :c that would be cool

Let me guess, all of these mounts would end up in cash shop anyways? Because creating something for free is tiresome.

Also please release orchestrion roll "Heroes never die". It's been 7 years and we still don't have this one please.

- Umbrella mounts to match the Umbrella weapons from RDM, SAM and BLU;

- Regular wings to match the fashion accessory ones. Not like the Trial wings that unfold into megazords while we're flying;
