I had a fun time farming the stones for the relic but after getting your first relic there was no need to do back to OC. I find it weird that the 2nd step doesnt have anything to do with OC... just a Que fest...

Phat Jobs, I dont care for them. I think their are lame.. They should've gave Phat jobs to our chocobos so we could use them in OC. Make our chocobos useful again.

OC needed dailies, maybe weekly dailies..

I have a feeling the new section their going to add is going to be the same thing..

This team has no idea what their doing..

To be fair, that be just like a human player riding one of those monkey mounts or a hrothgar/miqote riding any cat mount or an aura riding a dragon mount.

It really all boils down to everything in OC is built around forked

If you don’t do forked then OC goes nowhere, if you do do forked then it’s still too much effort to do it a proportional amount of times to the amount of times the game seems to want you to do it to balance out OC

So it either doesn’t work or only half works but still leaves you unsatisfied depending on the situation

I don't think this is true. I've been doing fine without touching forked tower. I have like over 100 hours in OC by now, and there's plenty of people who are just hanging out in there just to do it. To me this is like saying there's no point to the rest of the game unless you plan on raiding. Would it be nice if there was another tier of forked tower that was more pickup friendly? Of course. But really, it's one dungeon. People skip optional dungeons all the time and nobody really makes a big deal of it.

The problem is nothing goes anywhere without forked because everything is basically a dead end without it leading to an endless treadmill that goes nowhere

Levelling phantom jobs? - so you can get mastery stacks to do the same fates but do a little more damage
Going for arcanauts gear? - +2 is locked behind forked anyway so you are kinda stuck halfway
Something to break the endless fate chain? - you guessed it…..forked

What goal are you are going for without forked, where does OC go? Everything just feels pointlessly futile without that piece to cycle the content. The game had a defined endgame without raiding, OC has no goal without forked or a CLL equivalent, it just sorta exists

I think they were hoping the inflated coin costs for glamour, mounts, and other items in OC would make up the difference when people were done with the first step. Unfortunately either people got them all while doing that hell grind for Demiatma because their RNG laughed at them. Or, like me, they got a few things while doing it and just said no to the rest because the costs were super inflated.

The entry requirements and savage difficulty killed any hope of me doing forked. As its level synced, I can’t rely on better levels to overcome its difficulty.

I’m glad Yoshi explained their development process on raids though, it explains why everything is savage as they develop that first and then try to tune it down to normal. Hopefully the Quantum system will fix all of this.

I also hope that they can really figure out dynamic scaling so that the entire zone can go in as long as a minimum amount of players is met.

Phantom job actions are pretty sick if you actually slot them on your hot/cross bar. I had multiple thief actions slotted on viper and it was pretty fun debuffing with pilfer and using occult sprint at various times. I don't think you interacted enough.
