    I really hope all dungeons/ bosses get rid of timers. In the end I'm almost forced to skip a CS. I was even told to re-watch the CS at the inn. I want the intro to a fight before, not after it. XI (dare I say it) did this better.
    The clock shouldn't start running before all members have arrived/ reached a certain point (if in a dungeon)!

    Also, the placing of the CS for the van Darnus fight wasn't good. Even though it makes no sense to watch the airship flight before you actually depart, it would have been way better party-wise. One of my party members almost snapped when I told him that I intended to watch it (for the first time! Evil me!).

    This is Final Fantasy. One of the main reasons I play is the story (among other things).

    No. That's all that really needs to be said about this. You don't give a shit about the story and cutscenes and just care about winning? Go play trash like first person shooters or western RPGs. i know i'm gonna get shit for saying that but i really don't care. Too many people playing this game that don't care about story in an RPG and that's just sad. it's almost like reading a book and not caring about the story.

Often they feel included for the sake of simply including a cinematic. This is a multiplayer game, and viewing a cutscene means you are forcing others to wait on you. In my opinion, cutscenes should be far and few in-between. The shouldn't exceed three to five minutes at most.
    ...people skip cutscenes because they play while the timer is running or because they've seen it enough times. It has absolutely nothing to do with flow or relevancy.

    This is a weird thread.

    Cutscenes are a huge part of the game for me. I get excited when I see the fade to CS. Yay story. Yay prettiness. I do think that since they have added the option of watching CS's in the inn rooms (thank god), they should have them play the first time only when entering primal fights and whatnot.

    Edit: It's been said too.. just skip them. Is it really that big of a pain? XD

    Put me on board for 100% in favour of cutscenes.

    You know what we do if there is a long scene that could be a problem in a fight? (IE to Kill a Raven) We just let people watch on their first attempt, wipe and do it a second time. So we lost what 10 minutes in that fight, but people get to enjoy the game the way it is meant to be enjoyed.

    Not to mention it is way more fun to watch the scenes with full parties in them vs watching you solo it up in the Inn. As people have said, story and cutscenes are part of Final Fantasy, they have been since day 1. If they disappeared it would be like Zelda removing all the puzzles.

    This "problem" is fixable though. Do not allow fights to begin while a party member is in the scene. Allow them to be skipped if the entire party votes "Yes to skip."

    I want to see cutscenes where they're supposed to be seen, not later in my room. If you're going to change anything, change it so instance timers don't start until everyone is out of the cutscene, and everyone chosing to skip is bound and unable to act until they let their party members finished

    People are bossy a-holes when it comes to skipping the cutscenes, and have no respect for those who might actually enjoy watching them. Instead of fighting for the "rights" of those who want to screw the story and move on (and you'll notice these people don't actually watch the cutscenes in their room afterwards like they claim, if they did they wouldn't be so lost as to what's going on story-wise), try to work something out so that people don't make you feel miserable for actually playing the game the way it's intended.

    I hate all of you skippers. Not because you skip, but because you're being pricks with those who don't.

    But sure it would be much better if you could watch the cutscene and still have the full 30 minutes.

    The easy fix is to stop timers during cutscenes. I think the devs said something about a ready button recently

    So you enter the dungeon / instance, you watch / skip the cs. hit your ready button and only when everyone has pressed it does the timer start ticking....

    It probably won't work like that but it should. what they'll do is unless everyone is ready stop you entering the dungeon instance or whatever and still skip the cs eatingthe timers etc
