Phaenna Red Alert

Hello,

I was throwing away some junk from my inventory to try to spawn an S rank.

Turned out I threw away my BSM cosmic tool.

When I went back to Phaenna, it gave me a 0.1 tool instead of the 0.5 or so I was up to. When I now do crafts I do get points towards the 0.2 tool, but no longer get points during Red Alerts.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the points back? I do get them for other roles like LTW.

So it sounds like youre saying that you accidently tossed your unfinished prototype tool. If you talk to the NPC, they only give you the lowest level base tool. But having or using the tool isnt required to proceed with the research. If it was your only tool for that job you may need to craft or buy a new one to use temporarily. But none of this would have affected your research level. If you open blacksmith on the research tab it should show you exactly where you left off and how far you are to the next phase. When you finish that phase youll get the new .6 tool and can go back to getting bonus points with it.

Unfortunately it reset my Cosmic Research progress back to 0, and I had to start at 0 with the 0.1 cosmic tool again. I had about 20k cosmic points so I had done a little bit on BSM.

I've got the BSM back to 0.4 with an ability to hand in to 0.5, so next Red Alert I was going to try 0.4 and see if that gave me points then hand in and try it at 0.5, using the tool from 0.1 to 0.3 gave me XP but no Cosmic Research points, but only for Red Alerts. Other missions I got Cosmic Research points just fine.

Ok, I got 0 points at Cosmic Tool 0.4, but got Cosmic Research points at Cosmic Tool 0.5. So once you get the Tool to the point where it becomes points in 3/4/5 rather than 1/2/3, then the points returned.

Was very odd, but I guess don't throw out your weapon !

Well im glad your issue worked itself out. I have not had the same experience. I actively threw out my fishing pole after posting that reply. Did some fishing, and finished the level i was on and turned in my research and was just given the next higher tool. I am doing this as someone who maxed out levels on crafting and gathering more then a year ago, and am just putting some time into Phaenna for the relics and the experience of advancing the base along.
