    Tripple Triad Metta Decks For

I beat DT and am going to try out Rowene Cup TT. Is there a suggested meta deck for it at this time? I used to use an old one called Scion family, but I'm not sure if it's still good to use or a new one since the npcs got new cards. To be honest, I have a bunch of old decks, including these, but I'm not sure if any are still good or need a tune-up.

It's pretty simple, really. Just want to have 4 and 5 star cards, and have one that is strong on each side. Then you have a card for each scenario that you can fit depending on the situation.

For the tournaments, you actually will want to be playing against other players. NPCs won't give you nearly as many points. To do this, you queue into the battle hall (ideally on Tuesday or a weekend) and register with the NPC, then it will auto match you with others that queue. You won't get matched with them again in that session (battle hall instances last about 3 hours, similar to how Eureka, Bozja and OC get locked).

As for how hard it is to fight other players - it's like any other form of PvP. You will wreck your opponents half the time because they are more clueless, while the other half the time they might be a little better. But it's more points than fighting NPCs. If you spend ages thinking about the next move, you'll do better, similar to chess, but nobody wants to wait ages for eachother, so I suggest just making a move quick and if it's the wrong one, whatever, more points than fighting NPCs.

Unrelated, but it's also good to have a "reverse deck" (smallest number cards you can find) and decks suited to other scenarios.

If you do intend to play tournaments, there are 2 types of them (as far as I know). The first and most simple one is just when NPC announces it and you queue at it. You get matched with either NPC's or players (depending how many are in the queue). Winning these ones aren't that hard but sadly the RNG can kick in because you cannot pick your own decks but have to pick from what you are given. NPC's that you fight against are brutal and always have better cards than you. As fighting against real players, that really depends on which deck you picked and who starts first. Usually the player that starts first have bigger chances to lose in this one.

As for 2nd tournament which is done in battle hall, npc can be fought but give lower points. Real players are better but mind you that this tournament have been gatekept and win-traded for ages. People from FC's will come all together and queue with same player so they give them straight 20 wins and they win the tournament. This still happens till this day. it's very annoying but square doesn't want to do anything with it. Some players have already made their mind that they'll never win it.

You don't need to win the tournaments to get the rare cards, by the way. You just need to get enough points to get a Platinum Pack. These packs have a chance to give you the rare tournament cards. It took me just over a year to get all of them, because RNG does not usually give you the rare cards.

You can get Platinum Packs from Open Tournaments, which happen every 2 hours. But it's extremely rare to get one from there. You will only see one drop after 50-100 wins. It's so rare that it's easier to just do the bi-weekly tournaments.
