My RPR relic is done. I did my Aetherwall to 10,000 across the board, my balls are now full.

Except now I have to farm 1,500 tomes per weapon.

This is ridiculous, it should have been gil or a substantially lesser amount of tomes.

There's too many weapons in the game. Even more than Endwalker, and I farmed every single stage of those bloody Manderville weapons.

For me to have put this much time and effort into getting the weapons, they should be more accessible.

REQUEST: I'm asking that you reduce the amount of tomes that are needed per stage. You can always adjust this in a subsequent patch.

I'm hopeful that you make this change.

You earn enough tomestones grinding the aetherwells to reach the cap several times over. The currency is really fast to earn and, on top of that, there is little meaningful use for them, given the Quetzali armor is obsolete and the materials can be bought off at the MB.

It's as accesible as it gets.

You don't need every single one of them in a few weeks. Just set aside tomes as a long-term goal.

All the other weapons being tomes is already essentially a handout, even compared to the now-ez HW relics for 16000 poetics and extra steps.

I haven't even done mine yet, I have like 4 of the materials but lol, I've been spending my time doing FATEs to make money off of the ones who buy from the Marketboard. Relic isn't going to run away. I'm still gathering the dumb manderville ones as we speak cause I often forget that I'm tome capped.

Despite the game burning all around us, I'm still enjoying the relic.

I don't feel rushed, I feel the expectations are manageable, I'm playing roulette content I haven't seen in years, everything has been going well.

I'm hopeful that more relic steps are like this. It's not punishing but it does take a lot of work to get there.

There's hardly anything different about what's being asked of the player. In fact, this is even easier than filling the aetherwells. That's the issue.

OP literally just said they don't feel rushed in this step; the expectations were manageable, and is doing roulette content that haven't been seen/done in years. So it hardly makes any sense that when it's suddenly now collecting 1,500 Heliometry tomestones per weapon (just like the last step, mind you, nothing new there) instead of filling another aetherwell, it's "ridiculous."

What makes collecting 1,500 Helimetry tomestones (off of different roulettes, which was part of the step the OP just praised?) so different from reaching 9999 four times in an aetherwell off of 4 specific roulettes? You essentially can accomplish the same thing from the same roulettes, if not more; Heliometry tomestones are rewarded from nearly every roulette.

Nobody is rushing anybody to collect all of the relic weapons from this step. Collecting these particular tomestones is managable (doing all the available roulettes in a day will get you almost halfway to 1,500), and you can still do the roulette content you enjoyed and more from the aetherwell portion. Almost literally nothing has changed.

If the argument was about it being yet another tomestone hand-out step, yeah, there's a point to be made there, but it's not. OP just wants it down to 500 tomestones, which is basically a free relic weapon per day. It's nothing about how "well-tuned" this step is. There's nothing legitimate about that gripe.

You absolutely can change your mind about things, but it's actually quite hilarious to do so within the span of a few days after singing of its praises repeatedly and over something so trivial and similar to what you were already doing.

Honestly, I just finished my aether grind and bought my 1st PH weapon, and I already had the extra 400 from my rous just doing a few of them today. It's fairly fast and simple for a new relic step, and I am going to farm for all my most played alt jobs it should only take a few days, each even coming from EW, relics which were the few I did on launch.
