I wouldn't be surprised if they are getting hung up on lore reasons, canonically, we have a LOT more subraces than are playable, like Ishgardian Elezen are supposed to be a third thing aside from Duskwight and Wildwood, and the real reason Gosetsu is allowed to have a (mostly) normal face despite being a Roegadyn is because Othardian Roes are a distinct subrace than Hellsguard or Sea Wolf, perhaps the angle they are approaching it from is that Keshkwa is simply a particularly muscular Turali Hyur, which are not Highlanders.

I want to make clear, I don't consider this remotely a good reason, just that developers being hung up on lore bits way past what is reasonable is not a new thing, Tetsuya Nomura's comment about being concerned over the lore implications of Sora being in Smash still live rent-free in my mind, for how absurd a thought that is, and yet so flawlessly on-brand.

Would be nice, and maybe another eyebrow option for Highlanders so that they don't look like they smeared black lipstick on the ridge of their brow.

I would like to see more beard options. The Hyur Highlander has one nice one but it gets repetitive because everybody uses just one.
