    Flashing effects all types

    Dears

I come with a QoL question today.

It's unbelievable the amount of actions causing a flashy visual effect around the player: desynth, leveling up, crafting, and so on... I find that really annoying. At peak times, in main towns, it's impossible to find a summoning bell that is not surrounded by flashes in all colors and all directions.

Of course, we can retire to an inn room or map to an empty town, but well, if we need our GC or/and mats from again a different town (like Idyllshire that has no market board), the back and forth are a bother and rapidly expensive.

    Therefore my 2 questions:
    1. Is there really no settings allowing to turn off all those flashes?
    2. Are the main GC NPCs (mats, missions, squadrons) nowhere else than in their base towns?

    Thanks in advance.

You might be able to "turn off" other's non-battle effects via the System / Character Configuration / Control Settings / Character Tab / and scroll down to the Battle Effects Settings.

You can turn off certain effects; specifically, those generated by players. Not those generated by NPCs, enemies or the environment.

In /characterconfig under Character you can find these settings. Alternatively, you can use the / commands.

    /bfx self all
    /bfx party simple
    /bfx other off
    /bfx enemypc off

This will allow you to see your own effects in full, your party's effects only display if they are important (healer bubbles or damage areas, which you are meant to stand in), and no effects from anyone else. The last one disables effects from others in PvP.
