Like omg. I like to know who is telling this troll that people are scared of change. like for real!? are kidding me. only hand ful players actually think that 94% of whole community is screaming we need change. are you daft! do not have ears. do need someone get in your face scream in your ear drum and say

FIX YOUR GAME. you want to be treated like people stop treating your community like trash

- Better Class Design (clearly whole dev team including yoshi-p sucks at it
- Better Mechanics. Funner stuff. better rewards better friendlist. butter UI
- stop wasting meaningful resources on stupid crap like banning mods. only ones truely care about this are "Karens and drama queens" sense they not hurting any body. what people do with there characters no one elses business
- stop throwing away good systems thay already exist in the game.
- stop being lazy
- fix the summoner job about time you through the new and old down the toilet all class quest all abilities all egis every single abilitiy in garbage go play final fantasy 11 copy and past that in ff14 format there no easy way fix this job you have go in hard.

B-but muh casual.. muh new players experience, muh cater to people who have never ever cared or played about video games in their lifes.

Risk vs reward, they have nothing to lose. They have more to lose if they keep everything the same, it's a slow death vs potential gains

Actually, the opposite. They have a ton to lose by changing. The game is still the clear #2 when it comes to major MMO's, and those most put off by the current setup have largely already left. It's not a slow death vs. potential gains. It's a gradual bleed that will eventually still baseline in a sufficiently healthy place vs. making fundamental changes that are just as likely to drive away the masses who are still here rather than bring anyone back. The "potential gain" isn't the only option - "utter collapse" is also a very real possibility.

If anythign if they add some new stuff or crossovers with other franchises it could bring it new people for those events. I skipe vents i don't enjoy or wanan do because i don't have time. I been hoping for an actual hoverboard mount since i started i believe it was 2018, but if they brought that magitek skateboard i'll buy it

if they put resources into upgrading XIV's engine the mods wouldn't be an issue anymore because they have likely built expecting XIV's engine would stay the same tbth

Yes, existing mods that are made with the current engine would break. But that wouldn't stop modders from learning the ins and outs of the new engine and begin their work again, as they did back then. It is simply impossible to stop people from modding their game without adding aggressive programs to scan our systems, which I am super glad Yoshida stands against. His stance on mods is generally very fair imho and Mare had that C&D coming with the amount of public discussion going on about it.
