Why is FFXIV Mobile getting better cosmetics than PC?

Raging over not even a 1 year old mobile game while you play a +10 years old of content and new features every patch holy crap you can’t be serious right now?

Bro I can't tell if this is a troll or not. I'm not a "Glam is endgame" person but your use of "new feature" for every patch (which isn't true at all) is obscenely broad. The mobile game is ACTUALLY making new FEATURES. crafting and gathering on the moon is crafting and gathering on the moon. Doing fates in OC is doing fates in the open world, but worse because you have to bum rush them. We JUST got (unfinished) hats for races that have been out over six years. We JUST got a type of map for city aetherites back in EW (Even Yoshi P was embarrassed no one thought of that). There is still gear in the game from ARR that doesn't have a SINGLE dye channel, while the mobile game offers like 12. Even our paid cosmetics are sometimes rehashes of in game gear. And like just read reddit, the forms, FB Groups, watch videos, read articles, there are SO MANY other issues that it's hard to keep up with at this point, and not that you need to, but it's not hard to find if you were curious.

People aren't bored of life, they are pissed because they are bored of a service that they are wasting their life and money in. Like unless you were actually trolling I can't fathom how you have that opinion.

In less than a year they gave us graphic update, new expac, new job, new gear, new content, ...

Maybe balance things out there??? Maybe learn to put things on a perspective??

And you guys are comparing a MOBILE game to a DESKTOP one. They don't share the same goals at all.

Oh so you mean the bare minimum that you should have for an expansion? What NEW FEATURES. A graphics update that still looks blurry if you're on playstation?

The expansion WE PAY FOR. The mobile game is FREE TO PLAY. They have NEW gear, NEW features, DYEABLE mounts, the UI is animated, the open world has custom elements etc.

Like idk how you don't get this. It's such a weird thing to argue. BOTH of them have the goal of generating revenue. I would expect more creative effort go into the MAIN game.

And I agree with your last point. Usually comparing a mobile game to a desktop one seems silly, yet, for some reason, here we are in disbelief. If you like the slop from the hand that feeds, just say that. You have every right.

You literally said you understand it’s two different games. Then why are you crying over this? They have to bring attention to it if they want people to play it.

it's still the same IP and naturally people are going to compare the two.

a pain point for players for many years is that the character customization is lacking. therefore, when you naturally compare both games that are the same IP, and see that the other is getting thing you want, you are going to be upset.

i'm not shaking crying throwing up etc. but it is really aggravating to see that out the gate they are getting these things that players have been wanting for forever.

basically i'm entreating to SE, the developers of standard FFXIV, that i would really enjoy to have the content that mobile is getting.

Yes it’s same IP, still not same game. If I follow the way you think, I should be mad at FF7 original for not being action combat compared to the remake trilogy.

There’s other problem to fix in XIV, and it starts with jobs. There’s enough glam focused content in this game. You can even buy stuff from the store if you don’t have enough.

And you are getting new content. Way more than mobile game. I can understand new content is not YOUR taste, but don’t act like they giving 0 attention to XIV while YoshiP is giving interviews here and there and taking notes from feedbacks.

Maybe read the patch note if you’re missing what they adding. It goes from quests to new features to new housing stuffs.

Or make Chinese account and play mobile game.

okay so to preface this, i do agree and think jobs need changes, but lets do some roleplaying.

okay. i don't care about job changes and i love hitting glare over and over again when i am doing content. so basically your argument for me is dead.

The two aren't mutually exclusive? Battle system design and cosmetic items are done by different people.
