Folks, this is a prize in a box you bid on gacha style. You want all the variants, it is over $50 real money.

"The worst foe lies within the self."

If they do bring it to pc lets say for the 7.5 as a side quest or on the mog station and its $30 for base. I'd buy it because it be worth the wait for it. Though maybe if enough people ask for it they might bring it to PC
A happy family between a viera, a goddess and a child

i have no interest in it being a gacha item, i simply just want such nice things in the game. i consider gacha a plague.

Same. I played a game that, over the years, suffered as a result of prioritising gambleboxes over everything else.
It was one of the reasons I quit said game.
As has probably been noted before, Lightspeed Studios is a subsidiary of Tencent - a Chinese entertainment conglomerate. It's not Square Enix, nor do I anticipate the graphics or game engines are similar.
Not sure why Tencent would allow Square Enix to utilize art created for a mobile game, but don't expect a crossover any time soon, if ever.
In any case, Chinese mobile (and non-mobile) MMORPGs can be very pretty, regardless of gameplay.

That is true, we shouldn't compare these two games since the mobile version already has all the main game content and devs can focus on secondary aspects, still I can only guess that Square is throwing some money on this mobile project. Which mean that the main game still suffers because the budget flies away in order to keep these trash projects up by miliking the players of the original FF14, I mean you should just buy that 42 bucks glam and enjoy the gameAs has probably been noted before, Lightspeed Studios is a subsidiary of Tencent - a Chinese entertainment conglomerate. I'm inclined to disagree that they're spending any large amount of money on this considering it's once again not an SE-led game. It's led by Tencent. Square is more likely profiting off this then sinking money into it as Tencent would be the one supplying servers, development, etc. They prob got a lump sum for the mobile rights to 14 (including assets, music, animations, etc.) while getting a certain amount of profit back from Tencent as the game continues its service. That is true, we shouldn't compare these two games since the mobile version already has all the main game content and devs can focus on secondary aspects, still I can only guess that Square is throwing some money on this mobile project. Easy, MONEY.
Every asset from the mobile game they use in the main XIV game will have to be on the Mogstation and sold so they get a percentage of the proffit.
Tencent wants to make as much money from what they create as possible as fast as possible. Many of us have already said we want it, are willing to pay $$ for it so its only a matter of time. They will probably have it as a temporary exclusive for the mobile and then go for the money before we forget about it. They are really good at monitoring trends so I would guess sometime in 2026.
Considering that the game was released in China less than three months ago, "some time in 2026" might be a wee bit hasty. End of 2026 (just in time for the Western Holiday season), perhaps. As far as Mogstation stuff, there will be complaints across social media with "fans" insististing that gear and hairstyles developed for the licensed mobile game from a different studio shouldn't be paid for somehow.Easy, MONEY.

If Tencent can make a buck from the Mogstation, more power to them. Maybe they'll use the funds to further improve the CGI animated Chinese donghua they produce.

It be cool if the mobile version got a PC port!
