Thread: Why are you even coping for 8.0 at this point??

They outright demolished the biggest copium that people had, that the new 8.0 job design will give FF14 a fresh coat of paint.

Is there just a pandemic of short term memory loss or something here now?

When's the last time a tease of some major shake-up actually comes to pass? It's either distorted by translation or is just that - a tease to hook you.

Phantom actions are far less interesting than Bozjan Lost actions. Whatever "encounter design overhaul" they promised for 7.2 is just more DDR, slightly faster. The whole new exploratory zone is just FATEs.

Why did people even believe that 8.0 will shake up job design?

Guys stop huffing the copium. This game will not change. It is the Living Memory you're now playing in.

No but they're hurting themselves. Too many people just fall into a rhythm and go through the motions, completing a roulette just because they've always completed a roulette every day.

A lot of people are just extrapolating the future of FF14 based on their most memorable, happiest past experience.

People need to be pickier, it's a capitalist system. You don't have to stick around because the company doesn't care about you either. They want you to get trapped by switching costs and stick with their brand. But you'll always be far better off if you switch around because then the companies won't take your patronage for granted.

Because they take their core playerbase for granted they won't ever change.

I don't really have issues and enjoy the game, so no coping here.

I still have things I enjoy in this game, so no real reason to leave "yet". Still, it's pretty clear we're not going back to Eureka/Bozja heavy relic grinds, so odds are good I'll leave once 7.55 is done.

No point in waiting for 8.0 since relics won't show up until 8.25 and I have no desire to wait that long for tome weapons.

I...I have fun with the game? Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean everybody else is like that.

I still have fun with my FC and it keeps me motivated to stick around.
Plus I am back at eureka for some relics, so I got things to go for until then.

I am not coping at all, I actively enjoy the game, I even enjoy playing the Jobs, which is the biggest point of contention recently, in general I prefer action games to have simple combat with elaborate encounters, probably a mark of growing up playing KH, so the current state of the game works swimmingly for me.

It's a sub-based MMO, and I play because I find it fun until it doesn't then I'll quit.

Many players aren't actually raging angry, for one.
