7.4 Savage holiday release?

Hello! Patch release dates tend to come out fairly close to the date of the patch itself. Following the typical time between patches, 7.4 savage raids are expected to release on December 23rd, right before Christmas which is a very celebrated family holiday in the US. This is problematic for teams trying to compete in the race to world first, because many people won’t be available on Christmas so it’s tough to put a team together not knowing if the holiday will be an issue. I understand that the release date likely won’t be given out early, but would it be possible to get a confirmation or not on if the savage raids will release Christmas week? This caused a lot of issues last year with the release of Chaotic so it would be very nice to be able to plan ahead so that doesn’t repeat itself.

I’ve seen dev responses on the forum in the past in regards to questions for planning upcoming content (such as whether Quantum would use ilvl or aetherpool) so I figured it wasn’t outside the realm of possibility that we might get a hint as to whether or not we should worry about the holiday when planning for savage race to world first. You can estimate a patch release date from the Mogtome events. Patch date is usually 4 weeks after Mogtome events. There are also the two Live Letters before a patch. One is about 8 weeks before and the other is 10/11 days before.

I understand that, however that gives us 5, maybe 6 weeks notice. I think a lot of people underestimate the amount of work and preparation that world race groups put in ahead of time, especially during the recruiting process. Additionally, there's been speculation by a lot of people about savage maybe being delayed 2 weeks after the patch for the holidays, so even knowing the release date doesn't guarantee everything.

Yes, my hope is that after seeing how messy Chaotic release was last year that they won't repeat that mistake. Not to mention that savage is significantly more popular and important than the trial run for chaotic was.
