I believe yoshi said all the profit cash-shop make is going into the game's budget when they introduced cash store but its a long time ago so could be different now.

The thing that is most egregious to me is that cash shop items aren't unlocked on every character. The idea that I am meant to pay $20 for a glamour set for multiple characters is absolutely absurd.
This does really annoy me so much. I have bought things and would love them to be account wide and they really should be it is wrong.
Still remember the time when we all begged for more cash shop items. Alas, how the turntables.
Just imagine all the little sidecontent event quests we could have had for these items in-game.
But no, only $$$ pay up pig.
then how do you think they will keep the server open, squeenix does there money with this and its how they pay for yall to play the game, i know the sub is paid too how much do you think it needs to keep open those mega server like our data centers can still operate after more then 15 years, because players pay to pay the employees that does the maintenace of those servers and i dont think the sub would be enough in long term. considering the actrual economy in the world
edit: i also wanna add that if the community wants new content it needs employees to crfeate them and those also need to be paid

Practices makes it easy!!
Subscription is definitely enough to cover server maintenance, and content is paid by DLC purchases. Besides, I don't suggest to put online store down - merely introduce some way for these rewards to be also obtainable via in-game means. A lot of people will still buy them, but a lot of people who would never otherwise buy these items may extend their subscriptions in order to obtain them via in game means which leads to more subscriptions, game feeling more alive to players and better feedback (instead of "everything is locked behind paywall" type experience, it becomes "everything is obtainable in-game").then how do you think they will keep the server open, squeenix does there money with this and its how they pay for yall to play the game, i know the sub is paid too how much do you think it needs to keep open those mega server like our data centers can still operate after more then 15 years, because players pay to pay the employees that does the maintenace of those servers and i dont think the sub would be enough in long term. considering the actrual economy in the world

If content was quality, if funds were reinvested into the game, say half of what they were making at their peak in SHB, for things like improving the engine they wouldn't have had a fall off. They would ideally have more players paying into it and getting even more players due to word of mouth about the quality of the game alone.then how do you think they will keep the server open, squeenix does there money with this and its how they pay for yall to play the game, i know the sub is paid too how much do you think it needs to keep open those mega server like our data centers can still operate after more then 15 years, because players pay to pay the employees that does the maintenace of those servers and i dont think the sub would be enough in long term. considering the actrual economy in the world

Talking about not having enough funds to keep servers up is something I would expect from an mmo like PSO2 that is free to play.
the game will be free to play on mobile and that has better combat system and better cosmetics.
