What's with the obsession for paying more on the sub?
What's with the obsession for paying more on the sub?
You know how else SE can get more money for this game? By avoiding bleeding it dry for other ventures and reinvesting a proper budget in this one. They should remove online store and increase entry subscription fee to 20€ and standard subscription fee to 30€.
Price of the game starter edition should be increased to 80€, each expansion increased to 70€ and complete edition increased to 150€.
This way SE gets more money without having online store to contiune keeping servers up and making content patches and expansions.
And all good cosmetics should only be rewarded from ultimate raids and chaotic alliance raids.
We know FF14 is their big money-maker.
What you're suggesting would nearly double what I pay for this game. 50$ for a monthly subscription to a MMO that puts less effort into its content than F2P Gacha games, and 110+$ for every expansion? Hard pass.
Also all good cosmetics for the hardest content only? Wow you really want this game to die don't you? It won't have the effect of more players attempting this content like you think it would.
The ones arguing for that think SE simply doesn't have enough money in total to put into the game when that's objectively not true, they simply don't reinvest the money FF14 makes into the game proper.
I suppose I did get snappish at the suggestion of putting "the good stuff" only behind Chaotic and Ultimate, I apologize for that.Sorry that i made you angry by putting random prices what FFXIV could ended up costing if online store where being removed from the game.
The reason why i said all good being only rewarded from ultimate raids and chaotic alliance raids is because i have seen multiple topics players complaining about rewards in ultimate raids and cahotic alliance raids being really bad.
So i deleted my reply.
The reward structure for a while has been bad all around. Most of the rewards outside of raids are locked behind achievements that have very grindy requirements. I've completed 90% of all yellow quests in the game and got nothing but gil and meager exp to show for it. FATES grind is a slug to go through (you need to grind 360 FATES to unlock the specialized vendors and then another grind to get 500 vouchers for one mount). Maps, though fun, are RNG hell as always. MGP...yeaah Manderville isn't blessing this miqote with luck.
Heck I like to work on my Fishing Log and most of the Big Fish caught cannot even be displayed in the Housing aquariums.
Their first instinct of putting rewards in the MogShop is simply greed at this point and an active detriment. Players need good incentives to play the content.
You can't really compare the sleek design of an SDS compared to a three wheel tbh. If I had to choose I'd definitely go for the SDS (and I own it).
That said, if mog station items were account bound I'd have possibly bought most of the items when I still loved this game. Don't think it's ever going to happen though

You wont bend SE to give us cash shop for free.
Start demanding some manner of season pass for cash shop if you wanna pay more. Or something.
