Idea for new class: Credit Card Mage. The way the rotation works is you go to the mog station and buy your gear because it will be the only way to get gear anymore after all the glams and emotes were moved there. You will then wait a year and a half for instanced content that's just fate farming and all the rewards in it will be from past expansions. Then you go to mog station and buy a rotation that's one time use and not account wide. Then you come to the forums and tell people who don't like the new Credit Card Mage to just unsub if they don't like the game.

Gunner. Like FF X-2 Yuna Gunner, dual pistols, focused purely on Gun Kata, sure we have Machinist for a gun-wielding job, but MCH is too much of an engineer job that happens to use a gun sometimes, and if we can have 6 different Jobs that wield some variety of sword(PLD, DRK, GNB, SAM, VPR, RDM), having different varieties of guns should be fine.

Yoshi-P stated in the past that the devs view adding new jobs as a requirement for each expansion. They NEED that hype. But, I too, wouldn't be mad if they instead used that manpower for retooling current jobs.

That said, if we do see new jobs, my dream job's been an Apothecary/Chemist style healer with a focus on potion mixing, mechanically similar to mudras or dancer steps, to store buffs/debuffs and special skills while having a selection of basic heals to fall back on. It'd be heal over time like WHM/AST. It could actually fulfill the whole left from removing SCH's DoTs with some skills, too.

Main weapon is a set of bottles. Quest series is traveling for rare ingredients for potions. There was a hint that such a healer type exists on the First, too.

That sounds great, honestly! It'd be a great chance to also return AST to its roots as the "flexible healer" with regen/shield stance. I think it really deserves it.

Listen, man, I don't really have the energy to speculate anything unless I'm thrown a bone to chew on first.

But.... if I had to pick a class I'd want..... Give us a professional Wakka. I wanna sling Blitzballs around.

Based on patterns were getting a Tank and a ranged DPS.

Personally I wanted time mage as a Tank using a large hammer (Because it's "Hammer time") since theres so much creative stuff you could do with a time focused fighter and it's essentially Gaia's "Class" already.

Ranged I'm less sure on. My favourite choice would be Blitzballer but Yoshi-P would much rather put one of shitty OC jobs than anything fans would actually desire.
Potentially a crossbow although that could be beastmasters weapon.
