I wish, i can't imagine healing in wow without this feature now.
The only possible reason i could see them being against it is it'd be unfair to console players who wouldn't be able to make use of this, but i don't think thats a good enough reason to not have quality of life

Ironically, controller players do have access to what is functionally a mouse-over, which is called soft target. By going through you party list up and down, you place a temporary target on them, which will snap back to your main target once you use one action.

And unlike with a mouse, we don't need macros to make that possible, it's built-in.

cycling is wasting a lot of time, especially when u want to cycle 24 people alliance raid.

But ye, game has targeting system for mouse over, last target, nearest target, focus target, ur raid, ur enemies in pvp and etc.
