FFXIV won't output audio to my headphones

I recently got my pc back after some upgrades, but now I seem to be having an issue where I can no longer get audio output on my headphones from FFXIV despite it having previously worked perfectly fine.
I've messed around with so many different options but nothing seems to work, audio outputs perfectly fine when I set it to my speakers, but there is none coming through my headphones.

As a note, my headphones are bluetooth and I'm only having this trouble with ffxiv. Other games and such are not having the same issue, they work fine.

Anyone have any suggestions for other things I can try?

What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows)
At what point does the issue occur?
How often does the issue occur?

Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
Does the issue occur with one device or multiple devices?
Does your device has the option to test wired connection for output?

Were any update or changes made to the PC around the time of the issue?
Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?

I am using Steam.
The issue occurs when the game is opened, there is just no audio when my headphones are on at all.
I generally only have firefox open when I'm using ffxiv, and I only play ffxiv on my PC (win 11).
There is no wired connection as my headphones are bluetooth. Other steam games output audio fine, it's just ffxiv that doesn't.

I previously had no issue with audio through my headphones, it only occurs now after I got my PC back from some upgrades. One of the upgrades was adding a bluetooth reciever within the PC tower, as previously I was using a usb dongle for bluetooth.
And I have checked the different fullscreen options and the issue persists in all of them.

One strange thing I did notice was that if I removed my headphones from the bluetooth settings and repaired them whilst the game was running, then it would transmit audio for approx. 2 seconds before going silent again.

Might be a silly suggestion but I don't suppose you've muted FFXIV in audio mixer settings for this specific headset?

I've tried messing with the volume mixer a lot and there's just nothing. When I change it to the speakers it plays fine, but as soon as I switch it to the headphones it's silence

The audio output is on the default audio device (not communication device) as set in Windows. Since your having multiple audio outputs, did you set this correctly to the appropriate output?

Ok, thank you everyone for the help, but thankfully I've managed to find the issue.

It was the "hands-free" option on my headphones in the sound section of device manager, when I disabled it the audio started working on my headphones
