Just out of curiosity because I forgot the progression scale... this Relic ilvl will be useful in 7.4? Or more likely, immediately replaced by a crafted weapon?

Because certainly won't be a lot in 7.35, given the Deep Dungeon uses its own power system.

Often, the Extreme trial comes out with its weapon. Shortly thereafter, the relic weapon item level increases to the same item level as the Extreme trial one. The Extreme trial weapons, in general, are meant to offer an increased item level to help people still progging Savage. But in the odd patches where we are getting closer to the next Savage releases, no reason not to go up to augmented tome level instead so sometimes they do that.

The next tier crafted gear will be 770 and the next extreme trial will drop 775, so the relic weapon won't be relevant there really until the next step comes out.

It's only the best weapon at the tail end of the expansion after the usual raid tier duration of roughly 2 patches has elapsed.

Hm, so right now this weapon is only useful for late EX/raid proggers - what most are farming is the cosmetic appearance.

I feel those relic weapons should've been a boon to the Occult Crescent experience. Extra stats or effects that only activate there - it would give an extra reason to have those.
