Square Enix expected people to sub in October to complete the entire 7.3. I have no other explanation.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
You do realize that he knows that "taking a break" also means unsubbing, right?
The bonus is only between 1/6 and 1/3 of the total point gained. you could farm them. My problem lie with the alliance raid roulette. Alliance raid roulette always had the problem that ARR raids were over represented, because they're the small denominator AND they're mandatory for the story. Combined with the fact lower lvl dungeon/trial/raids give less point, the alliance raid roulette ask more run that the other, while an average is as long as Trial and raid roulettes combined. alliance raid roulette should give at least 1.5 time the number of points it currently gives to be in the league with others.
They dip into every monetization excuse they can find. Drip feed for the sub model. Cash shop with cosmetics during a content drought like it's a f2p model. Pay to change your eye color like it's f2p. Pay for each expansion, so it's buy to play. The players get the worst of every monetization system, it's great!

Ok, I was wrong, I have more to complain about. I got 247 points for necron today. it seems they put something in place like "the more a content is done, the less it gives points". But since the content are chosen randomly, this feels like a punition. Once again the RNG make everything frustrating. Honestly, I was fine with atma rng drop rate, even if I think it need a vendor that exchange atmas at a rate for the end of the farm, when you got 7 of one or 2 color and only 1 of your only missing color. But this... At least I see myself progress with every dungeon/raid/alliance raid I do, but man, this is a bummer. Every time I get over one negative, new one appears out of nowhere. The bonus is only between 1/6 and 1/3 of the total point gained. you could farm them. The prevailing theory currently is that it is based on average completion time of a duty, which the devs should have data for, The Chrysalis gives more than any other ARR Trial despite coming up very often, most raids give on average 100 points independent of expansion, since they tend to be completed on an average of 4-5 minutes, but DT Arcadion raids specifically give over 200 a pop, since those take 8-10 minutes, Nier Alliance Raids give the most out of any Alliance Raid, with Tower breaking the bank and giving a cap of 999, because Nier raids take longest of any Alliance Raid.
Assuming that's correct, I haven't a clue how new content will be rated, since things like Trials and Normal Raids fall into roulette immediately upon release, but perhaps they will have data from their own internal testing.
