Waiting time to re-transfere

I have a question...
What would being on a server you like entail, in the first place? What are the criteria for one to be considered good?

My impression was that, most of the time, if you want to join a big active FC, you're likely better off on an older bigger server, and if you want an easier time getting a house, you go on a newer smaller one. And if you don't really care, you just go on any server with a preferred status for faster leveling. And the region is picked based on timezone and ping.


On the topic of reset times - every transfer starts its own cooldown. You don't have to be online during that waiting period, but I also don't think you need to sacrifice your ability to play, to be honest... but that's also kind of why I wonder what the criteria for a good server is.
