Waiting time to re-transfere

Hi,

You don't know how much characters I created then deleted because in fact I was looking for a home server and this or that server didn't pleased me.

Right know, this made me want to delete my alts that I purchased stuffs for on any world and just wait 90 days do transfer my main from Seraph to Tonberry and continue playing with one characer straight, with losing the will to get alts a bit there and what not.

Please SE, 3 months it's a lot if you don't realize !!!

Ya Regret is not the best wording, should have said something like. Encourage you too think long and hard before transferring and too truly ask if its the right move.

3 Months waiting time is usually only if you transfer or create a character on a server which gives you certain benefits, like reaching lv 30 to get 1mio gil or the 10 golden feathers etc

Ah, so I'm not the only one regarding this subject who feels like that.

In fact I was in Kujata (preferred) and transfered to Coeurl (which is standard) then from Coeurl to Seraph (preferred +) all unpaid, coz of a reason I forgot.
Now don't tell me transfering from Seraph (preferred +) to Tonberry (standard) I have to sub 3 times, or can I just let those 90 days pass unsubbed, don't tell me they're gonna make me pay 18$ after this long wait.
I subbed twice but been to Seraph later, does it reseted the wainting time yeah?
This is so frustrating and annoying. I hope my next paid sub will mean the end of this wait, and hoping for free but not sure it will be free.

I have a question...
What would being on a server you like entail, in the first place? What are the criteria for one to be considered good?

My impression was that, most of the time, if you want to join a big active FC, you're likely better off on an older bigger server, and if you want an easier time getting a house, you go on a newer smaller one. And if you don't really care, you just go on any server with a preferred status for faster leveling. And the region is picked based on timezone and ping.


On the topic of reset times - every transfer starts its own cooldown. You don't have to be online during that waiting period, but I also don't think you need to sacrifice your ability to play, to be honest... but that's also kind of why I wonder what the criteria for a good server is.

The reason I'm asking is because I have quite the history of transferring over the years myself, and I'm trying to understand all the jumping within what seems to be very short periods of time.

For context, I initially started playing on Sargatanas back in early 2014, when EU servers were still physically located in the US, and players were spread out across NA. Russian FC I wanted to join happened to be on Sarg, so I went there. Then in 2015 we all transferred to Odin when EU servers were moved to Germany.

I played there up until the end of 2018, when I left my old guild and decided to transfer to Ragnarok to play with friends located there.

Then I had an idea to try raiding with JP players, and spent almost entire 2022 on Aegis. I enjoyed my time there, but the time difference proved to be a bit troublesome, so I went back to Chaos in first days of January 2023 shortly after Sagittarius was opened, since I could get myself a Middle house in Shirogane without much of a hassle while the server is still new and empty.

All in all, if not for my year of adventuring on Aegis, I probably would've still been on Ragnarok. That being said, on each of these servers I've spent a relatively significant amount of time, and the decisions surrounding transfers were largely practical.

What happened exactly that you've decided to leave yours before the 90 days cooldown is up?

I missed NA Brynhlidr where I played the game since closed beta, but at the moment i wanted to transfer I had a chance to at least join any from Dynamis for free. Because Brynhildr creation is off now, and it even became as Congested i'm not so sure.

I'll wait one more month then will see the pass away the 90 days. At this moment, I'm uncertain if Bryndhildr would open, bit I'll mind about Kujata or preferrably Tonberry than Brynhihdr.
