Wrong. Sharing is also bad bad bad. This guy has a seemingly unlimited amount of patience with this community...
This also confirms what I already knew. They do not have a problem with you using mods, so long as you don't use them to affect other people's game and play. As long as everything is only on your end, and you are not using it to abuse others, you're good.
WAR don't get changes because they don't need changes. They only need more enemies to cleave.
Hahahahaha its exactly what i said, Money speaks like always, it clearly was because of the possibility to mod Ingamestore Shit and SHOW it to others which had to spend Money, it is exactly how i said it, i love it and with the increased server cost prices etc even if he said they dont wanna increase Sub Prices, wait for it, it still will happen sooner or later

They are running a business, and players aren't entitled to things they designated as cash shop items for free. I suppose it doesn't matter if it's on your own computer and no one else can see it, but in situations where you get to walk around in the items for free and others can see it like Mare, that's an issue.Hahahahaha its exactly what i said, Money speaks like always, it clearly was because of the possibility to mod Ingamestore Shit and SHOW it to others which had to spend Money, it is exactly how i said it, i love it and with the increased server cost prices etc even if he said they dont wanna increase Sub Prices, wait for it, it still will happen sooner or later
The statement was sensible and well thought out. There are realities, as a business owner, that costs of doing business rise every year and you can't always charge your clients any more than you have 10 years ago. You seem entitled.
This will kind of be off topic but :They are running a business, and players aren't entitled to things they designated as cash shop items for free. This would be true if there wasnt already additional costs in any sort but we have to buy for 60€ to get content for 3 years which is still less content then a singleplayer game overall + the monthly costs so lets do simple math
36x11= 396€ + 60€ = 456€ (Because with the new changes it seems the expansion releases are easy 3 years between) to get less content then a singlepayer game and then the best costumes are placed behind another paywall?
dont get me wrong i love the game, i always loved final and the lore behind it, i got 4 alts, with all of them i do every ultimate and every raidtier, i cleared with all of them, bozja, eureka, HH, PotD and FT + Chaos, so like i said i love still final, and you can call me entitled but with due respect costumes shouldnt be behind a paywall, heck espescially when the costumes arent even accountbound

Oh I'm certain it might happen one day, but Yoshi P is doing what he and his team can to keep the prices down for now.Hahahahaha its exactly what i said, Money speaks like always, it clearly was because of the possibility to mod Ingamestore Shit and SHOW it to others which had to spend Money, it is exactly how i said it, i love it and with the increased server cost prices etc even if he said they dont wanna increase Sub Prices, wait for it, it still will happen sooner or later
I read the full letter and with the well written explination and reasonings why they took their recent stance, I'm happy.

Listed just about every reason I came up with for why they did it.
Like you said, there is that Visa and Mastercard issue and SE has already had to switch payment processor not long ago.
Then there is the "identity required to use the internet" thing in the UK that politicians are trying to spread into other countries.
Then it's pretty obvious people were using it to get around the mog station and that it was generally going out of control.

This is a good, reasonable statement from Yoshi P, and the crux of why Mare in specific was targeted comes down to this, among other things:
Blanket permissions for a third party app to modify your .DAT files passively is extremely risky. Although the app was curated to prevent malicious files or gross stuff from getting shared, it's core functionality still allowed unlimited access to the system data, and all it would take is one malicious actor to spread a virus across thousands of players. The issue is that any mod which makes changes visible to others requires the manipulation or rewriting of game files, which is fundamentally even more problematic and destructive.
Yoshi P doesn't care what you do to your local computer. But they don't want you messing with other people's computers.

Ok so I'd be on board if this actually did more to prevent these companies from possibly acting in the future as it stands getting rid of that certain mod doesn't really do a lot to prevent these visuals from showing up online and possibly upsetting a company to the extent we have to possibly deal with Visa or Mastercard intervening I could be wrong but I don't think this changes that. People can still share "tools" with other it just becomes a more slower process.
Theirs a extent of "good" where hopefully what this does is make people less vocal about tools in the future, less likely to share that sort of stuff online and help put people in check a little more, people shouldn't feel left out for not using something which could hold risks.
I'm glad they put out a response even if I do not fully agree with the whole thing this type of clarity is better then nothing.

If it does confirm anything it's that having "Mare Lamentorum" in your Adventure Plate, and possibly even the letter "C" with some slash mark near it (if you know, you know) is probably going to be treated less tolerably from now on.Ok so I'd be on board if this actually did more to prevent these companies from possibly acting in the future as it stands getting rid of that certain mod doesn't really do a lot to prevent these visuals from showing up online and possibly upsetting a company to the extent we have to possibly deal with Visa or Mastercard intervening I could be wrong but I don't think this changes that.
