New page for Retail websites such as Amazon? (Past reviews)

With all the latest hype for FFXIV: ARR, I did a little looking around online at some sites that are currently selling the product. Doing this i happened to see the reviews that are still the top rated reviews back from 2010. reviews such as:

FFXIV's Amazons stats are as follows:
115 - 4 & 5 star ratings
267 - 3, 2, & 1 star ratings
between collectors + standard editions

I truly believe new players will check this sites to know if this game is even worth trying, they will see these reviews, even though with ARR 95% of these issuses will be resloved, they will still be turned off and never try it. I know people already have these bad tastes, but SE really need everything going for them, not 2, going on 3 year old reviews that are extremely out of date.



I hope this is something IGN and other top game sites will also consider when FFXIV gets it relaunch. A new review, for a new game.

It's a new title, it will get a separate page. ARR wasn't added after FF XIV for nothing.

Not to mention the PS3 version, which will be forced to have its own review page anyway... SE won't have to push anything.

^This. Very likely that it will have a new page as it has an addition to the title, new box art, new price, new release date, new everything lol.

They will push for new reviews of the game with the press sites, and the press sites will do them, I do however believe ARR will get a new page on the online stores, and where possible I think they should pull the original FFXIV pages seeing as it will not be sold.

The problem is Amazon, Play.com etc also allow other people to sell pre-owned things via their websites which causes problems with pulling them. SE may have to ask these websites to pull the reviews on the grounds they are invalid, and the servers for the current version are/will be shut down.
