artificial server queue makes ranked matches autolose if dc happens

In the past, when you disconnected in a e.g. frontline - you were able to instantly get back into the game. It seemingly worked even faster than the standard login. As if there was a priority system pushing you through back into the match. It was excellent. Maybe took 2 secs to get back.

Nowadays If you do manage to login, you will be greeted with the login queue, everyone knows by now that this queue doesn't really exist. It is artificially created, it exists 24/7, maybe to reduce server load from potential malicious actors, who knows. It logins people by batches etc. In the end it takes up to 2 min to get back into a match. By that time the match is decided.

There should be a way to get a fast login. Maybe once a day you are allowed to skip the queue. I figure this is for raiding just as bad, 2 min dmg downtime is just too much.

I would also like to add, please fix the loss of Battle High in FL upon disconnecting.
Also, fix the problem of losing your selected PvP role action upon DCing (it resets to the default one)

It's not up 24/7 there's plenty of times in the early morning, afternoon and late evening that there's no queue

I don't know how anyone could be any farther away from the point being made, holy.

@OP yeah it would be nice for people who were in a duty, in general, to be allowed to relogin with a touch of priority.

This is why I think losing shouldn't affect your ranking stars. You neither gain nor lose. This way if someone gets d/c'ed, it doesn't affect them or their teammates. You can only keep climbing, maybe say until Diamond, then perhaps you start losing stars.

I'd love a fast-pass also for DD. Getting d/c'ed there can mean all your progress and your team's progress is done for, through something you can't affect.

"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
    "We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.

I would let players even climb to diamond in casual queue. So ranked will only be diamond - omega matches. It is not much difference between normal and ranked queue below diamond anyway. And players would be less afraid to continue in ranked if they are already in a high tier.
If there are only 4 members at the start of a match at the spawn point - timer could expand too...to give more waiting time. Some matches will abandon directly if there are not enough players, some wont. I guess if the leaving was deliberate, the match will continue. If a player never made it into the duty, even though the duty started, it will abandon. Not too sure about this one. And if dc, the player would need more time.

DeepDungeon for team, yeah. But don't think there is a good way for solo, players could abuse it by forcefully disconnecting in a dire situation and well duty ends anyway once you dc as solo for now.

The bottom line is probably "if player is subbed and in an instanced content, give them a fastpass login" and I feel like they had this, else I can't explain why rejoining content was so fast in the past.

Agreed. Solo DD if you get d/c'ed, it sucks but that's how that would have to be to keep it fair.

I agree that I feel like we got back in faster in the past if we were in an instance and got booted. Although I have a theory that it may be due to bots. If there are a bunch of them grinding Sastasha and they get d/c'ed, they'd gum up the works with the whole gaggle trying to get back in. Anyway it's probably Raubahn Ex's fault.
