FFXIV Needs a Playtest Server

Remember when we had that Cloud Test Server before with all the pre-generated characters and such? I feel like they should attempt this again, except as a way to playtest new content. If anything, the one thing I’ll point out is that your community is the biggest QnA Playtesters on the market - even if your internals aren’t doing as well and literally trying to break the game any way they can.

What’s more, I feel like feedback should be directly given from these as important. So, if it’s a while before patch and they’re unsure about a piece of content, throw it out to the populace and take their feedback so you aren’t always *Surprised Pikachu Face* every time you turn around and have the playerbase yelling about the bad things and how horrible the content is.

Of course, they can easily handle it as a Closed Beta Test of a piece of content to ensure they have a Control for feedback.

A testing server would only work if they actually took more than 10% of (the Japanese, cause NA and EU do not exist) player feedback into consideration

I'd have no qualms about it, but it would absolutely be limited to Japanese speaking players because of the dev team requiring fluency for dev.
