Halivel, I fully agree with you, but I feel like arguing with social darwinists who think LGBTQIA+ people having their rights slowly but steadily stripped from them may well be futile. Like, there's European countries where parties are literally pushing for sending all data on trans people who change their names to law enforcement and secret services. Unprompted. Roe v Wade being overturned in the US effectively abolishes the rights of those who do not have the means to travel to a place that'll still let them have an abortion.

Hate speech laws are good. Bigots should be deplatformed. But I am unsurprised that unaffected people would not understand that.

And whose the oppressors exactly? What are they doing precisely to cause this perceived systemic oppression? Make it make sense.

Halivel, these people are not interested in reading, thinking or understanding. They have cartoon mindsets. They'll only see the writing on the wall when it's collapsing around them. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to get through to them no matter how sincere and open you try to discuss things.

I have wondered why the topic has remained up but not because its political (is that against the rules??), but rather because it concerns a staff member. Maybe that is not being considered because its about their public statements. I am unsure. Long since time to close it when its just spreading ignorance at this point and only being updated by trolls.
