Monthly Sub Increase

I've always thought the sub price should reflect the amount and quality of content that's released.
I love the game but theres no denying it's being outpaced by its competitors.
Price seems okay for now, even though I've never understood why Aussie's have to pay in Euro for their sub.

The sub pricing has barely changed at all for many years; perhaps changing this could result in whatever is necessary to improve the current state of the game, i.e. more staff, more resources, more frequent/better content etc. I'm rather surprised it has not increased yet with the current on-going global financial climate.

Do you think it would make much difference? Would you or the wider player base will willing to accept one?

For one, SE has lost all the goodwill that it built over SHB--and to a lesser degree, EW. People at large wouldn't stand for it.

For me personally...

When have we seen higher prices reflect in higher quality, lately? We're in an era rampant with shrinkflation, where at best we pay vastly more for the same product, and at worst its shinier and there's less of it. I see no reason that would be any different. Especially with SE's current CEO.

The money isn't going into the game. It completely depends on what SE decides what to do with the profits

Absolutely not. It's already kinda wild to me that we have a sub and also have to buy each expansion. Especially considering there is now less content for the same sub price.

The issue isn't that we are not paying enough the issue is that Square is taking the money that we are paying and mismanaging it.

They could increase the sub to 100 usd a month to play the game and with their current model instead of bettering the XIV;
Square would do something like a forespoken 2 or FF8 remake something or another.

FF7 remakes will continue until morale improves.

Why would they increase the sub price when we're getting less content? Not to mention they've been reusing the same assets for years now.

Give me one example of a game that increased its subscription prices and actually became better according to the playerbase as a result. I'll wait.
