anyone know if we need to take all items off retainer's & hold af when server go's down before 2.0 is out?

As far as they have said, no. But it has been a while since I've heard anything.

Last I heard all items will transfer, and in the event of an inventory reduction, we'll be able to speak with an NPC to get the rest of our things.

As with everything else, that's subject to change until we're given the final word.
