Self-reports would probably apply if moderation cared to take action. They don't. Nobody at Square Enix, short of following an investigation involving a popular stream or specific tip off, is going to trawl through these threads and reviews to 'gotcha' folks.

If people were regularly being banned for openly advertising Third Party Tools, we probably wouldn't even need to be having these conversations.

Ok, that's a self report.

Your logic is completely flawed. There are people, who never used mods and nevertheless think, that blocking them can hurt the game. Because if too many players unsub because the favourite mod does not work then you will propably see less content ingame and more stuff in the cash shop etc.
