    Machinist being a low mobility job with unreliable cc availability makes it very vulnerable to dives to the point where in higher ranked of Crystalline Conflict, it can be considered a troll pick.

    Bioblaster is a liability for machinist as it's forcing a job with low mobility to be in close quarters, so your options are risk using it and get potentially punished, or wait until a safer opportunity arises but be locked out of the other tools until then.
    Also after using Bioblaster, your only cc status effect applying skill, Air Anchor is 20 to 30 seconds away (depending on if you had a 2nd charge ready), so if the enemy decide to focus you for being in close range, your ability to stun or bind wouldn't be available when you'd need it to potentially survive.
    Bard by comparison, gets to Repelling Shot every 10 seconds; a backstep that also binds the target.

    I'd suggest Bioblaster either has the Analysis effect of Heavy returned to it, or Bioblaster is removed from the tools machinist cycles through, and it instead becomes a combo action available after using Scattergun (granted other balance changes may be required in this case).
    The first of these would offer machinist additional options to cc and make it so machinist wouldn't be forced to use Bioblaster if it is unsafe to do so, while both would reduce the time between when it has access to any cc status effects.
