Personally, I'm hoping that we get a housing district here next. I don't want the bunny's hard work to go to waste.

Mare means sea in latin. The real life moon also has parts of it named this way.

I really like the enemy designs (the "Empty" from FFXI).

It's such a shame that elemental damage doesn't have as much of a prominence in 14, Promyvion is honestly one of my favorite zones and having elemental resistance on random mobs would've been kinda interesting to see in 14.

face up there is very hadsome

Although it's meant to be a direct reference to the reoccurring Moai motif throughout the FF series, including the one on FFIV's Moon, the name references the location on Mars that was the subject of the infamous 'Face on Mars' paraediolic illusion that was taken by a probe back in the 60s (recent probes however have confirmed it was just an illusion caused by the grainy low resolution footage).
As for the FFXIV version, it's my theory that it's actually meant to bebut I digress.Emet-Selch's face... because Venat still had feelings for him and wanted to let him know that (remember, she was the one who created the moon in the first place), which, to Emet, was just twisting the knife further...
