Thread: 8.0 should give us more character customisation

Of course we would also have the job "rework" whatever that is supposed to be, and I agree it would be nice to have some meaning to be healer in dungeons and take a step back in the simplification of roles.

BUT

After the removing of a famous 3rd party tool, I think we should see a big update for the character creation, more choices, separate stuff (like separating face from horns for Au ra), more size choices, more sliders, more make-up, and what would be AWESOME is also being able to unlock idle poses, behaviors, running animations, etc

That would be nice since we won't see any new race, now they can just improve the race we already have!

The thing that makes me love FFXIV beyond other mmorpg is that's it has all kind of content, cool different jobs to play, crafting, dungeon and raids, but also nice animations for characters, cool glams and big RP potential.

So that's why I'm sure they can still give us nice updates for the jobs but also improve a lot more the character creation! (and again, especially since no new race)

I also just happened to make a post related to this. I would LOVE to see colour sliders and the possibility of using multiple face paints, or even adding an additional make-up category for the blushes and eye-shadows.

I’m so here for more character customisation in 8.0. Since we’re not getting new races, this is honestly the perfect time to finally give the ones we have some real depth. It still feels wild that Au Ra horns are stuck to faces, body types are so limited, and sliders barely do anything. I want body/size sliders, more hairstyles (not just NPC clones), tattoos and makeup (not facepaint!!) you can actually layer, permanent facial expressions, unlockable idle poses, different running and teleport animations… even little things like hats and hair accessories layering properly. Basically, everything that lets a character feel unique instead of a slightly tweaked preset.

And seriously, SE, for the love of Hydaelyn, stop locking glam behind jobs and level requirements. I’m levelling my tank right now and can’t even wear my own glam until lvl 90, and that’s heartbreaking when you’re picky about how your character looks. We’ve had the tools for years, but they’re half baked. Giving us real freedom in all these tiny details would make characters feel alive, personal, and actually ours.

We still haven't gotten access to the new hair colors added in 7.0

Adding more hair colors won't suffice as more character customization. Right now only having 4 options for facial changes is really low and needs to be improved.

I'd love to see more faces, especially for the rest of the races seeing as midlander get way more than the rest lol
Tattoos would also be welcome, as well as more makeup options.
