Ha, yeah, I missed that one, mostly because my loathing of Y'shtola is intense and absolute. But I'm glad those kind of things are there for players who like her and maybe want there to be something to hang their hat on for shipping.

This was actually already addressed: Stormblood Alisaie treated WOL as her lover and it was asked by players if Alisaie was in love.
yoshiP said everyone is allowed to perceive the storyline how they wish it canon. So if in my story she had a crush, then it is true.
Then I had/have my love story. This is the same to others with Graha Tia.... Would they purposely put someone like that?
I know someone who has it canon being in a relationship with Wuk Lamat (He's a big fan) this would be a HUGE no to most.
The idea behind it is a bit selfish. You need to ask for things that is beneficial for everyone logically.

No. The time span between 2.0 and 7.0 is less than 3 years according to the lore which is crazy. Plus there is a reason why we dont have a love interest in the story. It could directly conflict with any personal stance people have with their own character which could be a detriment to how some people enjoy the story.

And just think what kind of drama ensues when your NPC is kidnapped or murdered by the Villain or their minions! I've watched to many Chinese dramas lately to believe the Protagonist (hint: the Warrior of Life; hint: Your Avatar) would not be compromised.
