FFXIV Music & Naoshi Mizuta

Hello there,

I think we dont speak enough of the music, only gameplay, fluidity and graphics...

we seen in 2.0 videos that game graphics are really immersive, but what make a true final fantasy is also the music, Yoshi spoke about 3 pillar ( story, gameplay, graphics)

but honestly, music is the 4th Pillar !

all the best RPG are with sad music, with despair etc..., or with enchantement where you can loose yourself in the game universe

Even if i like some music of FFXIV, I miss the thrilling and oppressive music from past FF

we gonna have a fucking meteor on the ass and no one care lol, yet we had this funky music with fire event...

I would like to ask some question toward music composer Naoshi Mizuta.

Its really one of the best and have done so many masterpieces for FFXI... (Sanctuary of Zitah , SKy , Sea etc... )

We know he s been working on latest music on FFXIV as well as Ryo Yamazaki and Tsuyoshi Sekito

But, how will he be implicated in 2.0 and later ? how are his motivations ?

Please support this thread if you want to have more info concerning the music team and their plans and really think the music is so important in Final Fantasy.

OMG!!! i was going make a thread asking to change the GC choco theme to a much smoother and chill theme because some days, you're on you choco for hours (Living on a prayer with no anima) so i think something like this.

Yeah, I'd like the current personal choco theme to be changed too ;< It's a little bit upbeat for my taste. Something more relaxing would be better for long journeys! (like gobbue theme, it's really enjoyable, but I prefer traveling on a choco ^^

I still prefer more of the work done by Nobuo Uematsu, who is known for his FF music and music in Lost Odysssey. THe later 3 Naoshi Mizuta, Ryo Yamazaki, and Tsuyoshi Sekito helped pull it together for addtional tracks.

When the 4 come together is when it works best.
