    Apparently this is something Dawntrail has had a lot of background effort into fixing. The same server infrastructure upgrades that are hitting housing are also going to aid with the limited options and layers of details we can pick for our avatars, along with just the new models being better optimized all around.

    I don't think we're getting some of the insane requests, as much as some would be awesome, but stuff like 2 layers of face paint, body tattoos/scars, and more options for things like tails and ears. Like, they might actually be able to unlink Auri horns and faces now. Perhaps new faces in general.

    So, instead of 30 things for the server to read for each individual character, we'll have 35.

    From my understanding, the issue here is, as stated by some other players, is that bones for the waist, thigh, or butt just don't exist, so it's not an option with the current models. Having a butt slider is one of the longest running requests of the creator, and Yoshi-P himself has stated as much a few times, but if the just added it, our bottoms would clip out of most pants and skirts, since the bones weren't there for gear, unlike with busts. (And even then, it's not uncommon for busts to fluctuate wildly in size with some chest gear because of how they were/weren't scaled.)

    The characters do have thigh and waist bones, every model that is designed to move is rigged with these. The characters are not likely to have their butts rigged though, because the models weren't designed with butt scale in mind, so if they ever wanted to add that they would actually need to go back and add bones to support this, and then add geometry to the butt area so they aren't blocky, then they would add in the weights to all the leg models. I'm not sure if they will ever do this since it would be a huge workload, though if they did do this, the tops wouldn't need to be modelled to not clip with the butts, since they can scale the skit/cape/coat bones of the gear to move with your butt slider. Either way, I think a body slider (with limitations on how crazy you can go) to scale basic things like shoulder width, hip size, and maybe an option to make the character chubby or thin is something that's actually pretty realistic for them to add without too much of a workload.
