Request for More Character Customization Options

I would love to see more muscles available for a slider instead of “Doll” or “Slighly fit doll”. Also to get rid of the MCH Aetherpack- that thing massively breaks my immersive with how chunky it is.

kind of just spitballing ideas-- what about multiple "glamours" for the aetherpack, like how paladins have shields? preferably no like ilvl stuff to it, just purely for glam haha :,) i think i would really enjoy this, too.

also 110% seconding what's been said about different body types + ethnic features on pcs!!! please add more options there especially

I agree with so many things on everyone’s list here, so I’ll try to add to it rather than repeat…

- add 2 new clans to every race, to add some much needed variety, BUT along with that, let all options be shared within their races. No reason you can’t have a Midlander face and a Highlander body if you want to!
- universal height slider, ie: height not limited to a predetermined range based on character race. Maybe you want a shorter Elezen or a taller Au Ra…
- tails and ears (maybe include Au Ra horns with this) on their own separate tabs. Want to be a half-elf like Hilda? Add elf ears to your Hyurs! Want to be part cat? Add the ears/tails to whatever! Want to be a Lopporit? Add Viera ears to your Lalafell! This should totally be a doable thing, because it’s the main body that determines how gear fits, and tails clip through everything anyways.
- at least 3 options for face paint can be used at a time… that way females can have eyeshadow, blush and a design, or male highlanders can have their eyebrows and still use other options (although seriously can we get them an eyebrow tab already?).
- all the sliders for faces! Maybe an option to use the presets, but have sliders for fine tuning size/proportions. Especially for eyes, noses and lips… face sliders wouldn’t require as many gear adjustments like other sliders would, much as I’d like to see a slider for pretty much everything.

This is such a great thread already! I personally would love to see more sliders and options for body diversity. Being able to change your pronouns or having them separate from character model would make me very happy, as well. More face paint and the ability to apply more than one, more hairstyles of varying lengths and hair textures, more selections added to the pool of facial features are all things I'd love. There is so much more that I could list but it will have to suffice for me to say that I agree with pretty much everything else listed by the people before me. There are things I never even would have thought of!

(Personally my "pipe dream" request is optional tails for Viera. I just think some fluffly little tails would be so nice, you know?)

Being able to assign hair to glamour plates would be really cool, too!

I love this game a lot and I love it's visual style. I hope someday soon they can improve upon their CC and more people can feel seen and represented by what they can create in game.

i would really like to see a toggle for dark colored eyebrows! making a character with light hair and light skin makes their expressions more difficult to see, and this would help a lot with that...

im also on team "flat chested female characters" but that has already been spoken of a lot. to add to that, i would like to be able to toggle how the npcs and ingame dialog refers to my character. but that might be too much to ask.

• Chubby slider for ALL RACES and none of this tiny pudge nonsense. I mean actual plus size for both men and women. Not everyone is skinny or a body builder. Plus sized people exist and I'm tired of being overlooked in every game.
• Breast Slider. Breasts in this game are barely there save for like...highlanders. Girls have much bigger breasts than just C cups, SE. I'd know from experience with my own body and I'm tired of being left out.
• Give more mature features to Lalafell. Not everyone wants to play a doll and I'm tired of dingdongs calling them children because of it.
• More ear and tail options for Miqos, Viera and Hrothgar
• Give tails to Viera
• Paws options for Viera, Miqote, and Hrothgar
• Draconic options for Au Ra
• Fangs for Sunseekers
• Freckle options that aren't connected to face paint/make-up and more than just the face.
• Better color options for hair/make-up/paint/scales
• Whiskers available to ALL Hrothgar and Miqote faces

Players like character customization for 2 reasons, they wanna look at a pretty character and/or they wanna see themselves in the character they're playing. Players that look for customization in a game won't keep playing a game if you limit that experience and then move one to another game that has what they are looking for. In future patches I would love to see the customization experience expanded upon and improved, instead of rearranging the polygons on a specific face or nose shape, add it to the base game.

I think even in terms of technical debt, it still doesn't hurt to ask. Veira are able to have customization options with their ears, I don't view horns as being that different. If it is impossible, so be it, but it's been awhile since this has been discussed iirc.

Sadly, au ra tails are the race's equivalent to viera ears.

Definitely would want a secondary face paint option to use. I miss using an eyeshadow option, but I've been prioritizing the usage of another face paint since the start of DT.
I would also love an option to adjust hair highlight intensity. Some hairstyles are really good, but I cannot stand how intense highlights can be at times and end up ignoring those styles.

This would be my changes if I were to be in charge of a customization overhaul. I'm not a dev so idk how hard this would be to implement but so fat I think these idea's would be fire
Character creator:

• More body sliders:
-Height
-Muscle
-Arms/Hands
-Waist
-Butt/Hips
-Boob
-Leg/Feet

• More options:
Seperate things from faces like:
-Horns
-Clan marks
-Ears
-Hairs

• Remove ‘face’ option and let us select every option from all faces.

• Unlock all face tattoo’s and other racial options (like mole’s, scars) and let you have 5 options on max if they don’t want to let people have all the options all at once.

• New options: Like more beards

• Body tattoos/scars/freckles or Clan marks for Miqote

• Multiple face markings. So people can do something like Blush and Freckles at the same time.

• Race specific:
-More shades for Au’ra scales. Rean: Bone white to complete white. Xeala: Blue to Black.
-Make hrothgar male hunch a toggle
-Sepperate hair highlights from fur pattern color
-More ear options or a slider for miqote and hrothgar

A lot of good suggestions already mentioned in this thread.
- Overall, more options to choose from (Face types, eyebrows, mouths, ears, tails) for each race.
- Adding sliders for specific adjustments, feature rotation, and colors.
- Fang length options for Moon Miqo'te, including even longer fangs.
- Makeup as its own separate category with more than 1 option to choose from. Every race should have the ability to toggle eyeliner, mascara, lip glossiness, and then still be able to add a face paint option or two, or three.
- For those of us suffering from unfortunate eyebrows, it could also help a little bit to be able to adjust eyebrow thickness, and also to pick eyebrow color separately from hair color. If the devs don't want people running around with pink hair and green eyebrows, they could at least add an option to choose from "light, medium, or dark" eyebrow shades.
- And lastly, the ability to choose a "mood" that their WoL has, reflecting in their neutral/idle facial expression. Cheerful, Stoic, Angry, Nervous, Mischievous, etc.
