Request for More Character Customization Options

Howdy! Signed up for the forums just to make this message if that is indicative of how important I feel this thread is.

Here's my wishlist of items I would like to see in character creation:

1) Body sliders. I would love more muscle definition and the ability to make larger, plus sized characters. A larger spectrum chest slider is also a huge desire as someone who has a gender non-conforming character. I would be happy to have a flat chested character or even just larger chests for those that have curvier characters!
2) More scale options for Au Ra. We don't necessarily need to give them a entire spectrum of colors, but it would be nice to see more options than being restricted to a sub category that determines black or white scales only.
3) As previously mentioned, more horn options and/or the ability for Auri characters to have any horn type. Hiding horns would also be nice too for the players that like to hide them.
4) More tattoo, scar, and freckle options. I think these options are extremely desired by the player base.
5) Not as huge a priority, but more tail options for miqo, auri, and viera players. It's a crying shame they don't have the option for cute bun tails!
6) Pronoun options would be fantastic.

Anyone else remember when, I think YoshiP, said "don't you guys want different body types?" when talking about us wanting male viera? I cried a little inside thinking he may believe we don't just because we wanted both genders of viera and then hrothgar. Or did I entirely hallucinate this?

ANYWAY! Yes! We want more customization options!! Body types, body part sliders, MUCH more face defaults, black hairstyles, curly hairstyles, full hairstyles, more age options/sliders, increase the color range options for all the things, more accessories, bunny tail toggle for viera! Etc, etc.

All a lot of good suggestions adde so far! Here's my personal list:

- More facial hair options and ideally separate them from the "facial features" tab like hairstyles. Most of the male characters only have access to some sideburns and maybe a goatee at best and just some scruffy 5 o'clock shadow at worst. Some don't even get any at all.
- Textured hairstyles. I'm not someone who personally uses black hairstyles, but it's super important to a lot of people I know and more diversity in hairstyles is never a bad thing. Just... don't pull a hairstyle contest and flatten the crap out of it.
- Body types, or scale sliders for more body parts/limbs. If new body types entirely aren't feasible, then at least give us the option to thicken or lengthen our existing limbs and body parts. Let me play a dad-bod Miqo'te.
- Options for body tattoos / paint. Give me the option to put an Archon tattoo on my neck!
- Au Ra Scale Colors/Patterns! Going hand in hand with the previous point, give Au Ra the option to change the way their scales look on their bodies! Additionally, more color options for Au Ra scales, and possibly even some "overlay" patterns, like sparkling or iridescent scales!

I wholeheartedly support this initiative, and like others have said before - if we're not getting any new races, then it's high time that the existing character creator got an overhaul.

I've wanted to have muscle slider added to female Miqo'te since I started playing, and I'm baffled as to why it's a race-specific thing in the first place since it seems like it just affects the normal map. Either way, it just feels wrong not having muscle tone as a Monk...

I'd kill to have extra body type options, I really would. My big ol' Roegadyn ought to have the build of a rugby player or strongman, i.e., someone who eats well and has a lot of functional muscle under some equally functional padding, rather than an underwear model with washboard abs.

In fact I'd like it a lot if abs were optional for everybody.

I would love to see more muscles available for a slider instead of “Doll” or “Slighly fit doll”. Also to get rid of the MCH Aetherpack- that thing massively breaks my immersive with how chunky it is.

kind of just spitballing ideas-- what about multiple "glamours" for the aetherpack, like how paladins have shields? preferably no like ilvl stuff to it, just purely for glam haha :,) i think i would really enjoy this, too.

also 110% seconding what's been said about different body types + ethnic features on pcs!!! please add more options there especially

I agree with so many things on everyone’s list here, so I’ll try to add to it rather than repeat…

- add 2 new clans to every race, to add some much needed variety, BUT along with that, let all options be shared within their races. No reason you can’t have a Midlander face and a Highlander body if you want to!
- universal height slider, ie: height not limited to a predetermined range based on character race. Maybe you want a shorter Elezen or a taller Au Ra…
- tails and ears (maybe include Au Ra horns with this) on their own separate tabs. Want to be a half-elf like Hilda? Add elf ears to your Hyurs! Want to be part cat? Add the ears/tails to whatever! Want to be a Lopporit? Add Viera ears to your Lalafell! This should totally be a doable thing, because it’s the main body that determines how gear fits, and tails clip through everything anyways.
- at least 3 options for face paint can be used at a time… that way females can have eyeshadow, blush and a design, or male highlanders can have their eyebrows and still use other options (although seriously can we get them an eyebrow tab already?).
- all the sliders for faces! Maybe an option to use the presets, but have sliders for fine tuning size/proportions. Especially for eyes, noses and lips… face sliders wouldn’t require as many gear adjustments like other sliders would, much as I’d like to see a slider for pretty much everything.

This is such a great thread already! I personally would love to see more sliders and options for body diversity. Being able to change your pronouns or having them separate from character model would make me very happy, as well. More face paint and the ability to apply more than one, more hairstyles of varying lengths and hair textures, more selections added to the pool of facial features are all things I'd love. There is so much more that I could list but it will have to suffice for me to say that I agree with pretty much everything else listed by the people before me. There are things I never even would have thought of!

(Personally my "pipe dream" request is optional tails for Viera. I just think some fluffly little tails would be so nice, you know?)

Being able to assign hair to glamour plates would be really cool, too!

I love this game a lot and I love it's visual style. I hope someday soon they can improve upon their CC and more people can feel seen and represented by what they can create in game.
