I'd have to agree here. I'm born in 2002 and I had to google every since thing on the list. I heard some minor stuff about Kingdom hearts and Xenogear.
Monster hunter I know, I played Worlds and Rise. So it only makes sense to collab with the things most people know about. There was from what I remember huge hype for Wolds, Rise and Wilds.

I will say. If you're able to look past the very dated graphics and such, I highly recommend giving them a whirl. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are frequently on sale on steam for almost nothing while Xenogear is on the PS store, I believe. All said, they're phenomenal games.

Xenosaga Collab would be awesome

A BG3 collab would be the first thing I zero hour in ages. And I would squee doing it too

Imma be real. This game already has a 'remember this?' problem. Every narrative feels like a callback to something else. At this point I'm chomping at the bit for something truly original, not references to games released decades ago.

I agree. There are too many baits for either Nostalgia & pop cultures.

Unfortunately something like say... "Breath of Fire" isn't a realistic choice, as even Capcom forgot about that series almost a decade ago.

Actually, Squaresoft did localization for the original Breath of Fire. Capcom took it over in Breath of Fire 2.
