Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps as Fisher

Hii,

I am now trying for over an hour to collect one of the new Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps with my Fisher.

I was at every fishing spot in Living Memory, Snagging is active and the maps are not on cooldown.

Am I just extremely unlucky or have they forgotten to add the new maps to the fishing spots?

Was anyone able to collect a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map as Fisher?

I'm starting to think they have a minimum Gathering requirement or something.

I checked with friends and on fishing discord with many people trying, havent seen anyone catching the map.. it seems its like a bug at this point.

I tried for an hour with nothing and gave up. Went to botanist and miner alt and found them in less than a minute each.

I have been checking Cat became hungry and Teamcraft and neither of them has the Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map listed either (never tried to collect one as a Fisher, though).

I have no idea why, but it seems the Fisher is somehow not allowed to collect these two maps?

I wanted to get a map on fisher today but people are saying they're impossible to get and bugged. Really disappointed because I wanted to do maps with my friends and the only gathering class my through DT character has leveled is fisher. Hopefully they fix it in hot fixes but that's 4 days of maps missed and a lot of gil too, even if just by going off the map prices of 600K each.
My character is really into finding treasure so it doubly sucked. Hope they fix this soon, thank you all for pointing it out so I didn't waste hours trying.

Confirming based on the fishing community discord that nobody has caught the new treasure maps and they indeed seem to be missing.

For clarity, fishers CAN get Ophiotauroskin Maps, from Lethe in Elpis. This definitely suggests that the missing ability for us to fish the new Gargantuaskin Maps is probably not intentional.

Players were unable to catch "Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map" while fishing.

*After Patch 7.3, we will compensate players who fished at the affected fishing spots with Fisher level 95 or higher, which is the requirement for catching the target fish, during the period before the bug was fixed with one “Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map.” We will send this compensation via Moogle Letter as soon as we are able to confirm the logs.

I have just fished up a Gargantua Skin Map. Thanks for the quick hotfix and the free map we will be getting!
