Update Battle Companion System

Square... for real... it's time to update this system to 1. Allow us to have our chocobo attack first. 2. Have our chocobo attack targets attacking us (being defensive). 3. Have our chocobo attack targets attacking it.

Actually update the traits so they give something else than accuracy, a stat that hasn't been used in years.

Also would like an order to have the bird stay out of melee to avoid AoEs, could be useful for healing order.

I'd have sworn I read that Square had essentially said chocobos were a fun thing, but we're never getting an update.

i proposed in another thread the bring back the idea of a "path" companion but make it so they can traverse the lands with you too like the chocobo companion can an allow us to glamour whatever outfits we want them to have as well an for them to be multi-roled so they can take on any place in the duty support/trust system

It's also kind of sad that we can't have Caster DPS chocobos. You can give in a black mage barding but you can't make it a black mage itself.

I like how FFXI adventuring fellow and then trust system are better than what we have here.

The ones in Wow are great. You can play with your friends and they do AoEs and have pathing. Much better than Trusts in every way.

Continuously adding more outfits for companion that has been max level for over 10 years with nothing new battlewise. Thought by now they'd be able to join us in dungeons, or be a trust option.
