How will titles work in AAR?

Hey guys,

Final Fantasy XIV has always been somewhat lacking when it comes to titles, you can earn an achievement for a title but unlike most games where this is shown to other players, the title seams to only be seen by the player playing the character.

In AAR, will titles be displayed to other players? How will they be displayed if so? Will we see titles in player's names as they wonder about the world ? Will we simply see the title on inspecting the player?

Supposedly titles will display above or below the character's name (depending on the title), and it will have some kind of ingame effect. They'll be viewable by everyone (unless they make an option to turn it off). Beyond that, no one knows.

I wouldn't mind titles giving in-game status effects.

They are viewable now. If you unlock a title and set it then anyone who checks you will see your title.
