They made the forums so the game community could connect with the devs, and the English speaking community puts it to masterful use by talking about the big issues like "grass" and "walking backwards". *Sarcasm*

Clearly this was added for PVP and will not be a problem unless FFXIV is the only MMO you've ever played.
