Forgive me if this information is posted somewhere already. If so, I've not been able to locate it.
I'm wondering if the PC requirements will be higher than what is currently needed for the game. Any details on this?

They suppose to be the same. But with the ability of lower end computers being able to handle them better. So I would imagine like if you buy the game u know that area on the box that says Minimum PC requirements and right next to it is recommended requirements. I would imagine that the minimum requirements will be less cause lower end pc's are suppose to be able to handle it now. But the recommended requirements should be the same?
Either way i want my fricken 2.0 Benchmark!!!!!!!!
Yoshida has said they want it to run on a wider range of machines than v1. So we can assume the requirements at least won't be higher.
Thanks guys!
'wider range' might just expand into having more support for radeon/amd type hardware. currently they have tons of problems.
and 'lower end' might mean lower end of the spectrum. the minimum requirements are NOT adequate to run the game smoothly, even at the lowest settings. making the game actually run at the minimum specs would be a huge leap in expaning the range of machines the game can run on. IMO that's what they are talking about.
From today's IGN article:
Yoshida proceeds to show us just how scalable the engine is by showing A Realm Reborn running in HD on high settings, followed by demoing the game on a laptop running on an Intel i5 processor. The game is optimised to around 70 percent and while the shadows suffer a noticeable downgrade in quality it still runs smoothly, albeit without the strains of being online.
