    The running animations when turning direction bug the shit out of me, along with the backpeddalling. The rest of the demo looks really nice, but man that running got on my nerves. Hoping that's just the pre-alpha build.

    Well i dunno about anyone else, but i would take movement while doing an ability over animation lock and slow animation abilities lol. Anyhow, this is pre alpha, and i am absolutely LOVING the speed of combat and how fast the WS are, really brings that Final Fantasy cinematic feel, and i wouldn't have it any other way!

    I'm probably the anyone else since i would like half of one and half of the other. Since i like my skills to subject me to a little risk far as where and when to use them. Also like my attacks to look like my whole body is in it, instead of legs independant of arms.

    But thats hardly important next to the awesomeness i just observed ^^
    Must say it looks good. The better quality camera does it alot more justice. Also love seeing more and more of Twelveswood. Even in its current form i love it as home. They'll have to pry me out of it come 2.0. Not to mention the color pallete i'm seeing in Twelveswood is a real nice soft hue opposed to the dark green washout currently there.

    Combined with my favorite Class/job. LNC/DRG. Being able to see some of those effects. Since its pre alpha i (hope?) some attacks will get more varied animations then we have now. But even if not at release, the entire package makes it seem a mite less important.

    Still wish for a Vanity Slot/Some sorft of armor skin mechanic. But its still reaaaaaal nice work, SE.

    Yea i do agree with you on that, i love a good animation, but at the same time its a small price to pay for the overall speed. Maybe by beta and full release we will get more animations? i was hoping they would go the route of Max Payne 3, if anyone has played it, you would noticve that no matter how you are moving and what you are doing, your character moves fluidly and theres an animation for anything, though i doubt theres enough time to pull something like that with so many races and classes and abilities.

    Also.... those woods...... :I.............XD

    Actually, they seem to have nailed the proper midpoint there. There is a point where he is executing Chaos Thrust while backpedalling, and there you can see exactly how it seems to really work. During each swipe and thrust, he doesn't actually moves, but during the windup spins (mostly when the lance head is facing backwards) he manages to take one or two steps backs.

    Essentially, during the moves where it would require to put all of your force on the strike he's still, during the momentum buildup he moves. That's just awesome.
