I hope all the gear is just FFXI gear, gimme a dalmatica and a blurple Adaman Hauberk. And I hope we get a Distant Worlds orchestrion roll.

I wonder what they'll do for the fights, they already used Absolute Virtue which would be the most obvious choice. Maybe one of the fights will be in Dragon's Aery and you'll have to stand there waiting around for Fafhogg to pop.

Since it's an Alliance raid every role will be sharing their gear so I'd be very surprised if any of it was specifically themed to any one job in particular like XI artifact gear.

The bad part of role gear is we can't get each job's different af armor with a couple new creations in the same theme for jobs like ast and mcn that are not in ffxi. I would love for the 3 raids to drop the articfact, relic, and empyrean gear sets respectively even if the relic is just a recolor of the artifact. I would go bonkers if they showed off all that gear as possible drops.

I know its an unpopular opinion, but I am of the stance that we desperately NEED more job/race specific gear. There is plenty of gear that is open to everyone or every job in a specific role. In a game where rp is so important it's sad they don't let us have more job/race/cultural identity alongside the diversity the system already gives us.

Just as long as we don't have the drama where the first two red mages in line for a hat have to miss our scheduled Dynamis-Xarcabard run, so of course that's the run that THREE HATS DROP.

Seeing HD Jeuno is wild. I immediately thought of the light pole near the AH area that my linkshell and I used to always hang out around back in the day. Must also be nostalgic for the people on the team that worked on the original to now be working on this version.

I am so hyped for this, I can't wait! I like seeing the Tavnazia land bridge in the back there as I can see them easily fitting an overgrown lost-to-time version of Tavnazia into the world of XIV. As for bosses, whatever hasn't been already pushed into Baldesion Arsenal. I suppose Shadowlord is a guarantee but after that it's up in the air. I hope we get to see Yagudo, Orcs, and Quadav just like we got to see Seeq and Bangaa in the Ivalice storyline/fights.

If I had to hazard a guess I could see them using bosses from Adoulin as the earlier ones with big ticket names being each tier's final boss. And as for gear! I would love for some job AF gear to be thrown in since really they can fit multiple jobs' (with some exceptions) styles. But for "generic" gear I need more of the level 70~ crafted JSE sets to come back. The small drip we got of that back in ARR wasn't nearly enough and too many of XI's gear designs would fit perfectly in XIV and deserve to come back

It would be really neat if they added an emote of Aldo squinting and holding Tavnazia in his fingers. It would bring the series full circle since that was the very first moment of FFXI.

And I know we're not going to get it, but FFXI racial gear including one for Roegadyn that includes a tail would be fun.
